Easter fun (or anytime, really)

photo from http://www.purlbee.com/

Now honestly, how cool are these? I don't even like real jelly beans, but these are pretty awesome. And a cute bag full of them is even better. Years ago Karyn gave Noah a great gift; 3 or 4 homemade beanbags and a cassette tape filled with lots of "pass the beanbag" songs and games. We loved it all - those little beanbags were cherished toys. From time to time one or two of them will resurface in the kids' room, well loved but still holding strong.

Discovery

Ina loves to explore and find things to check out (and show mom); the pond frog at Ashley Hill,
sand crabs at Assateague,
or a great skipping rock at Morgan Park. All hold magic and delight.

Thanks

For my brother, who gave me this thoughtful Snoopy gift and whom I always think of when I use this stamp.

Winter wonderland

A bit of winter wonderland earlier this morning.

Snow

One more snowy picture from Germany in celebration of the snow that fell late last night and into the morning right here at home. Six inches. Enough for Carlos to declare that it's a "Winter Wonderland!" upon waking up. Ina and Carlos got busy sledding at 7:30 this morning, so as not to waste any of that six inch goodness.

30 hours in a weekend

Yay to the 250 kids and many adult organizers and volunteers who made this a reality. Amazing perfomances by The Mustard Seeds, too. You guys are all awesome.
